Network terminology
The Valmo operating network is built around clear roles and reliable movement.
Each part of the logistics network has a defined purpose, from first-mile and last-mile hubs to sorting specialists and delivery teams who keep shipments moving securely and on time.
Valmo Airhub
All first mile and last mile nodes are referred to as Valmo Airhubs. These are the seller and customer facing nodes in our operations.
Valmo Captains
The partners who own these Airhubs are known as Captains. They own the first or last mile hubs and are responsible for operations happening in these hubs.
Valmo Pilots
Each first and last mile node has pickup and delivery executives who interact with sellers and customers every day. These Valmo Pilots help ensure secure and timely pickup or delivery of shipments.
Valmo Base
Middle nodes in our operations, including sort centres and cross docks, are known as Valmo Base. These nodes help handle large-scale operations and give shipments the right direction.
Valmo Handlers
Sorting specialists working in sort centres and cross docks are known as Valmo Handlers. They support the large volume of shipments handled across the network.
